Gov. Chris Sununu won’t let Charles Manson be paroled after 15 years in prison

MILTON, Mass. (AP) — New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu said Monday he won’t let the convicted killer of his ex-brother-in-law be paroled when he’s eligible after 15 years in prison.

In a letter to Gov. Charlie Baker, Sununu said he’s “gravely concerned that the U.S. Department of Justice will approve” the 15-year sentence for the killing of Patricia Krenwinkel.

The letter comes the same day the Trump administration announced it would seek a change to the parole guidelines for Manson follower Sharon Tate’s killer, Charles Manson.

Tate’s killer and Krenwinkel’s murderer were both tied to Charles Manson’s infamous “family.” Manson killed actress Sharon Tate and six others in 1969 in the belief that he was a prophet and would usher a “revolution” against police,
