The Los Angeles Police Charged a Man With Shooting Two People and Carjacking A Third

Man is charged in fatal carjacking and robbery incidents in Los Angeles

A man was charged today with shooting two people and carjacking a third in Los Angeles after the first two shootings, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Natalie H. Williams, 22, is charged with one count each of second-degree murder and three counts of first-degree murder in the fatal May 31 shooting of 21-year-old Justin Martinez, one count each of first-degree robbery and carjacking in connection with the Sept. 19 carjacking of 28-year-old Ricardo DelaRosa and one count of first-degree grand theft of a vehicle in connection with the Sept. 23 robbery of a Toyota Avalon in the 1400 block of S. Pico Boulevard, according to the district attorney’s office.

Natalie H. Williams is also charged with one count each of false imprisonment, four counts of second-degree murder, one count each of attempted murder and attempted robbery and one count of carjacking in connection with the killing of 22-year-old James Anderson in January 2014. He is being held in the Los Angeles County jail on $1 million bail.

The other two victims were 23 and 27-year-olds, one with an address in Lancaster and the other in Lancaster-by-the-Sea, according to the district attorney’s office.

The first shooting, on May 31, was an ambush-style shooting that involved the suspects in the Toyota Avalon, in which they first attacked Martinez and then went to the passenger side of a black sedan occupied by Anderson and another man, according to the district attorney’s office.

Martinez died at the scene. Anderson was transported to a hospital but died of his injuries.
